How We Approach Every Vehicle

No two vehicles arrive with the same ride height, load rating or intended use, so our approach starts with understanding how a vehicle is actually driven before recommending any hardware. A touring rig that spends most of its life fully loaded on rough tracks has very different needs to a daily commuter that occasionally tows a small trailer.
Ride height and load capacity are closely linked. Raising a vehicle’s ride height without also addressing its GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) rating can leave it technically over its legal carrying limit even though it looks capable of carrying more. This is why changes to ride height, springs and load capacity are usually planned together rather than bought as separate, unrelated parts. You can read more about how these vehicle ride and handling systems work on Wikipedia.
Once new hardware is fitted, a wheel alignment is essential to make sure the vehicle tracks straight and wears its tyres evenly. Skipping this step is one of the most common reasons people are unhappy with how a lifted or upgraded vehicle drives, even when the hardware itself is good quality.
