How a Multi Tune Module Works Day to Day
The Alientech Powergate 4 module we use lets you switch between up to four different tune files stored on the vehicle, rather than being locked into a single map. A multi tune module like this suits owners who want one setup for daily driving and another for towing, off-road use, or a track day, without needing to bring the vehicle back in every time the intended use changes.
Switching between tune files with a multi tune module takes a few seconds from inside the vehicle, which is quite different to how engine control unit reflashing traditionally worked, where changing the map meant a trip back to the workshop each time. Once the Powergate 4 hardware is fitted and the tune files are loaded, switching maps is entirely in your hands.
